Looking back on the past few weeks, we have had an extremely eventful period.

NAIDOC week saw our children participate in a number of activities and events which recognised and enabled discussion about our Aboriginal culture.

We also had a Kindergarten Construction Day, where a number of Dad’s attended to helped our children build car ramps and garages.  Expectedly, this was a massive hit with the children.

Some of the other events we participated in included raising money for Red Nose Day, celebrating Pyjama Day and our Parent Information Evenings – ‘Looking After Little Teeth’ and ‘Potty Training’.  The daily trips to Eden’s Garden do however remain a firm favourite amongst all the children and as such we have further extended the educational hours our children spend out there with Miss Peta!

Expanding upon our optional Extra-Curricular options at Timber Tots – we have welcomed Billy’s Buddies.  This is Billy Slater’s non-contact kids rugby league program designed to teach children basic skills.  If you would like to register, please go to www.billysbuddies.com.au and search in the Brisbane East region.

Finally, as we begin to put a mild winter behind us and look forward to Spring, it is important to remain vigilant on hygiene and exclusion periods. We are entering what is historically the peak season for Influenza.

If you would like to find out more about any of the things discussed, please don’t hesitate to contact us at Reception.
