ANZAC Day

Anzac is one of the most important days for Australians around the world on the annual calendar.

Originally to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli against the Ottoman Empire during World War I, today, the national day of remembrance broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations and “the contribution and suffering of all those who have served.

Timber Tots Child Care this year commemorated ANZAC Day on the 24th of April.  Looking the part, our entire Centre wore their custom made camouflage uniforms.  We were also joined by Colonel Paddy Hallinan who spent time educating the children about the ANZAC spirit and the importance of ANZAC Day in our history.

The children particularly loved the badges and the different uniforms!

It was awesome to see and hear the children interact and discuss topics like this both inside and outside the Centre.  We must thank everyone who contributed to this awesome day.

Lest we forget.
