Welcome Spring!

As temperatures start to rise, we put a mild winter and a tough flu season behind us. Thank you to all parents who where particularly conscious of exclusion periods the past few months. We understand how hard it can be for parents to keep sick kids at home in working families, however it has definitely kept serious flu outbreaks which were seen at other centres across South East Queensland at a minimum.

Another thank you to all our fathers and grandfathers who attended our annual Father’s Day afternoon. It was a fantastic few hours, and we can guarantee that all the children really enjoyed participating in all the various activities with their dads throughout the afternoon. We also hope that all the dads who attended our Fathers Day networking Evening had a great time. We look forward to holding this event again next year.

Book Week at Timber Tots was a lot of fun. Throughout the week, we further emphasised the importance of reading for children’s development – and used our amazing library and its resources to its complete potential – culminating in some amazing dress ups.

As always, our bike days in the car park were really appreciated. Each month when we hold these, its great to see how much the children have improved.

International Pirates and Fairies Day was also celebrated in September. We loved the life size make believe pirate ship complete with a ‘walk the plank’.

Our kindy information night, held for our Kangaroo and Lorikeet parents, was a good opportunity for everyone to understand our plans for the Kindy program in 2018. It was great to see such a large attendance. If anyone has any further questions about this program, please feel free to talk to one of our teachers or come and chat in reception.

Thank you to everyone for completing the re-enrolment forms. With this process now complete, we now have visibility as to what everyone’s plans are for 2018, and we will be able to provide all parents with potential opportunities for extra days and/or potential change of days during October.

We hope you enjoyed the update.
